There are multiple factors that influence whether a plant grows better indoors. Generally, these types of plants are tropical, that do not support air currents and that need to be constantly at an average temperature, about 20ºC, since with their tropical condition they do not support cold climates and would not survive the frosts of the winters.

On the other hand, indoor plants do not require the same amount of light as outdoor plants. However, this does not mean that they cannot use natural light, because all plants, of whatever kind, require light in order to develop and grow. However, indoor plants cannot withstand direct sunlight.
