Orange Downtown Alliance Committees
The following is a listing of committees. Participation on these committees is open to ODA members. Please call ODA at 540.672.2540 if you are interested in attending a meeting or serving on a committee. All ODA committees report directly to the Board of Directors and they work with ODA staff.
Promotions
The Promotion Committee aims to create a positive image of downtown Orange and maintain community pride in the central business district. The committee oversees promotional programs such as Pictures with Santa, Halloween Trick or Treating Downtown, Arts Alive!, a Scarecrow Contest and the Easter Egg Hunt.

Design
The first thing a visitor notices about a shopping district is its appearance. ODA has set about enhancing the visual quality of downtown by addressing all the elements of its environment – not just buildings and storefronts but also signs, public improvements, landscaping, merchandise displays, and promoti onal materials.

Business Development
All the efforts and good work of the ODA would not matter a bit if downtown Orange cannot support its existing businesses and attract new ones. The ODA works to strengthen downtown’s existing assets and to fulfill its market potential by improving the competitiveness of downtown merchants, providing retail and service training opportunities, accommodating new businesses, and converting unused space into housing, offices, or cultural facilities.

Partnership
The Partnership Committee is responsible for overseeing membership development efforts, and membership and organization policy.
